Certificate of Achievement Program

The Research Administration Training Series (RATS) provides a comprehensive curriculum for overall research administration at the University of Utah. While all members of the University research community are invited to participate in individual classes of interest, the Office of the Vice President for Research recognizes the completion of certain specialized tracks of instruction by awarding a Certificate of Achievement.

Each Certificate of Achievement is designed to address the specific and immediate needs of the participant through Core Courses, Requisite Courses and Elective Courses. Participants simply register and attend classes as described below, then upon completion of the track(s) of instruction, request a transcript review from the Director of Research Education for verification. Certificates are processed and delivered to all recipients by the end of each semester.

Unless otherwise specified, a course is eligible for application towards a Certificate of Achievement for 24 months upon its completion.
